Welcome to the Tectonics and Geochronology website at the University of Kansas. We specialize in geochronology, thermochronology, geochemistry, petrology, GIS applications, and structural geology. Research projects currently span the globe, including Tibet, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Brazil, and the western United States. Our facilities include a TIMS lab, (U-Th)/He lab, LA-HRICP-MS lab, Fission Track lab, and two QICP-MS labs, as well as a geoanalytical clean lab. Students of all levels are offerred classes and seminars that cover these various aspects of geology.
