Directions to KU Geology (Lindley Hall)

Detailed directions to the Department of Geology from I-70:

  1. Approach from 1-70
  2. Leave I-70 at exit 202, West Lawrence. Toll ~$1.35.
  3. Go south (straight ahead) on a street that eventually becomes Iowa Street. Continue south under an overpass, and up a hill.
  4. Travel south to the 4th traffic light south of the turnpike at Bob Billings Parkway (about 2.2 or 2.3 miles).
  5. Turn left (east) on 15th street, entering the KU campus. Travel east to the first 4-way stop (about 0.6 miles). Cross that intersection and turn north (left) into a driveway about 50 feet past the intersection. The driveway enters a parking lot.
  6. Drive north through the parking lot to its northern end, Lindley Hall is the tan-colored limestone building that makes an L around the end of the lot (note the telescope dome on top of Lindley Hall - see photo below)
  7. The Geology office is in 120 Lindley (near the west end of the building).
